Auto Truck utilizes software that forces drivers to work over a month per year FOR FREE, while losing over $3,500 yearly in lost wages. When brought to the IAM Unions attention, they (Mr. Anderson) simply told us that “it was Industry Standard” and/or ”go find another job”.
Under the representation of the IAM, Drivers are forced to work;
- On Duty/Driving: ONE MONTH per year FOR FREE. (See above)
- On Duty/Not Driving: TWO MONTHS per year FOR FREE. (See The Numbers)
Note: Take into consideration that out of the 70 hours a week we have to work, only a small portion is spent driving! When we do finally get to drive, we are then shorted an additional 10-15 percent of our wages! Can you say, Rat Race?
