A System

Ray Krock did something several years ago to revolutionize an industry. He took a simple business and made it so easy to manage that everyone wanted to buy one. This business was called McDonalds. Mr. Kroc wasn’t in the restaraunt business, he was in the real estate business. He took a simple idea and created a platform to sell multiple systems, known today as a franchise.

Auto Truck managers could learn alot about this, if they knew what the hell they were doing. Everyone has their own mentality, some people like working early in the day, some like working late at night. Some like numbers, some like pictures. Were all different.

A good manager can see into an employee and place them into an area where they will perform the best. When you have all the employees strategicaly positioned where they need to be, you have created a system. When you have a system, you can walk away and let it work on its own.

Instead, at Auto Truck Transport, the managers are destined to make your job a complete hell. If you like running the northeast, they will place you in the southwest. If you like running short, they will send you long. Its a fact, that a lot of drivers are in the hospital because of something called STRESS! It is a fact that when you take someone out of their environment, or Comfort Zone, for an extended amount of time, they WILL burn out.

Now being such a specialized company without a large selection of potential candidates, wouldn’t it make sense to create such a system to keep operations running smoothly? The workforce is a machine, a money machine, if you will. The managers don’t make the company money, the workers do. The managers do not know how to do the job, the workers do. So, why is there so much positive emphasis placed on the managers to provide so much negativity on the employees?
