About Me

“Insanity is someone who keeps doing the same things over and over again expecting to obtain different results!” -Einstein

I like this quote because it describes how some people advance intellectually in life, where others stay behind and ignore their problems, hoping that one day they’ll soon get better.

It also describes the insanity of fighting for your wages with a union that has a hard time enforcing their own contract! Hopefully this blog can provide “different” results, because these grievances aren’t doing a damn thing.

About me: Been an employee for this company for eight years and a shop steward for three. Raised in a small town with small town values. Don’t like liers, politics, thieves and self centered people. Entreprenuerial, a leader … and Out of the Box.

Looking back, Auto Truck Transport has withheld over $30,000 of my earnings and the IAM has only let them get away with it due to so called, Industry Standards. After years of being a shop steward and fighting this, the IAM basically told me to find another job!

I guess members dues are more important then the workers wages! We have had the same problems with this, as well as other pay issues for years and nothing has been done about it. At this point in my life, time is becoming more important to me and wasted time has become more of a problem.

Right now I am owed over $4,500 in breakdowns and delays in which my creditors are screaming for. This greivance has been in the unions hands for more then a month. So, what does an employee do? Continue taking a financial hit and be the good little employee or make some noise on the net?
